MCALLEN - It's a special place to remember all the soldiers who've lost their lives in combat.
The Veterans War Memorial of Texas in McAllen will honor those who have fought for their county and lost their lives.
Colonel Frank Plummer says, "There are veterans in this Valley like nowhere else in the world. It's probably the center of patriotism."
Colonel Plummer came up with the memorial, and recently added special monuments especially dedicated to the servicemen lost in Iraq and Afghanistan.
He says, "We must let the future generations know these men stepped up."
The official unveiling for the memorial is set for November 11th and 11:00am.
The public is invited to attend.
