HARLINGEN - For hours after news of a shooting on Fort Hood, Nora Galvan had to wait to hear from her daughter.
Twenty-five-year-old Natalie Galvan is stationed at the Army Post.
"When I saw the news, I recognized the area that they had. And I know my daughter had been there. And I go, 'Tis is where Natalie works,'" says Galvan.
Shortly after our interview, Nora says Natalie called saying she's safe. She says the military took their cell phones away when the base was placed on lockdown.
