HIDALGO - The Lone Star Football League championship trophy is ripe for the picking by the Rio Grande Valley Magic. The locals will try to go 3-for-3 against Amarillo this season when the two teams meet Saturday night in San Angelo. Unlike the two regular season games, there is much more at stake this time. The Magic were just seconds from missing the post-season until a late road win in the regular season finale in Abilene. The Magic was just seconds from the sidelines until a late win at Laredo in the playoff opener. Now the team's coach knows a third straight win, and the championship that comes with it, are a real possibility.
