HIDALGO - The Rio Grande Valley Magic tumbled further down the standings Saturday with a 69-52 loss to Laredo at State Farm Arena. The Magic have now lost four straight, sitting at 5-6 in the Lone Star Football League. The Rattlesnakes meanwhile vaulted up into a tie for first place, improving their record to 6-5 with the victory. Laredo quarterback Matt Jeffers threw for 215 yards and five touchdowns. His receiver Josh Crawford had 124 receiving yards with three touchdowns. With their playoff chances still up in the air, the Magic close out the regular season next Saturday in Abilene.
