HIDALGO - After a June swoon, a two-game winning streak has pushed the Rio Grande Valley Magic into the Lone Star Football League championship game. The Magic had dropped four straight games before closing the regular season with a narrow road win at Abilene. That victory earned the Magic a first round playoff shot at Laredo, a game the Magic held on to win by three points. Next up is the championship game, again on the road, this time at San Angelo against Amarillo. Magic coach Schuyler Anderson is excited about his team's end of the year change in form.
