HARLINGEN - Harlingen police arrested a 35-year-old man for allegedly firing shots at a neighbor's dogs. It happened on the 400 block of Taylor Avenue Sunday afternoon.
A 14-year-old girl told police she went across the street to try to recover her dogs after hearing three shots. She said she then hid behind a large concrete sign to avoid being hit by more shots fired.
Several neighbors called 911. Police arrived and detained Jose Erevia. They recovered a Winchester 12-guage shotgun and spent shell casings.
No one was injured in the shootings. Erevia's bond was set at $20,000.
