SAN JUAN - Police in San Juan have one man in custody after a standoff that lasted several hours. The man is accused of holding a mother and her children hostage.

The San Juan police chief said officers chased a robbery suspect to a mobile home park near Carroll and Cesar Chavez. A SWAT team was called in, and everyone at the park was evacuated.

Hostage negotiators and the SWAT team worked for several hours, before taking the man into custody. He's expected to go before a judge later today.
