Man Involved in Chase Continued Driving with Just Rims

PALMVIEW - A man who led police on an early morning chase will go to jail, once he gets out of the hospital.
Police chased the driver, after the man ran a red light on Conway near 1st Street in Mission. He headed west on Expressway 83 and rear-ended a woman's car on the exit ramp for Inspiration Road.
The driver kept going despite flat tires. We're told he continued driving with just rims until he crashed in Palmview. He hit an overpass barrier on Expressway 83 and Abram Road. The car then caught on fire.
The driver was taken to the hospital.
The woman hit on the exit ramp was taken to the McAllen Medical Center. Police say she should be fine.
