ALAMO - Wet weather is destroying an Alamo man's mobile home. He went looking for help but says he was ignored.
His home is slowing falling apart. It's a problem Larry Horn says started when he first purchased his home. He thought it was fixed.
"I thought it looked good. It's pretty inside; it's a nice trailer," says Horn.
Horn says the repair work was shoddy and it's starting to show.
"The carpet will be moldy. The plywood under the carpet another year from now could be falling apart. Yeah, it's hard to say what will happen down the road if something isn't done to correct it," says Horn.
He has tried making repairs himself but says it isn't cheap.
"It could run into maybe $2,500 easy on the conservative side," says Horn.
Horn says he has tried reasoning with the vendors. They tell him his home is out of warranty. So, we called Valley Traveland and then we put Horn in touch with them.
Traveland agreed to go out and look at the damage. They say they plan to help Horn. Traveland says they have offered to either fix the damage or cut Horn a check.
