Man Sentenced in Bribery Case

MCALLEN - A Monte Alto man will spend four years in prison for taking bribes.
Christopher Castillo worked for the U.S. Army Corp of Engineers. The 33-year-old oversaw numerous contract jobs in South Texas, including Hidalgo County.
He admitted to forcing the owner of a cement company to pave his driveway in order to hold onto a lucrative government contract. In court Tuesday, Castillo apologized for his actions.
