PHARR - Police continue the search for a third suspect involved in a botched home burglary.
Officials said three men broke into a home on the 700 block of West Bronze Avenue just after 11 a.m. The homeowner confronted the intruders and shot one in the face with a shotgun. He held a second suspect at gunpoint until police arrived. The injured man is in stable but critical condition at a local hospital.
The third suspect fled the scene in a green Jeep Grand Cherokee, police said.
"This happened at 11 o'clock, and my kids are out at 11 (a.m.). Now I have to be outside with them. Not just my kids, but all the kids that like to hang around here," said Amy Culliver, a concerned neighbor.
Police are asking anyone with information about the suspect's location to call 956-748-7700.
