ST. MORITZ, Switzerland (AP) Tina Maze of Slovenia led Lara Gut of Switzerland by 0.01 of a second after the Super-G portion of a women's World Cup super-combined event Friday.
The overall standings leader skied the Engiadina course in 1 minute, 19.06 seconds to edge Gut.
Maria Hoefl-Riesch of Germany was 0.05 behind, while Lindsey Vonn of the United States trailed by 0.27.
The slalom was to be run later Friday.
Julia Mancuso of the United States was 0.50 behind in fifth, and world super-combined champion Anna Fenninger of Austria placed sixth, 0.59 behind Maze.
This is the first of two super-combined events this season. They count for the overall standings, but no crystal globe will be awarded in the discipline.
