More Than 500 Pounds of Drugs Recovered After Mission Chase

MISSION - A morning chase ended with a suspected smuggler in custody.
It started when Mission officers tried to stop a driver who disregarded a stop sign. It happened just north of the abandoned Pepe's on the River restaurant.
Police said the man tried driving his car into the river. After they stopped him, officers found 577 pounds of drugs in the car.
