EDINBURG - Police busted an Edinburg home for the second time in less than a year. They took a woman, her son and a third person into custody.
The drug bust happened on the 400 block of 34th Street. Police found cocaine, marijuana, a gun and ammo buried in the back of the house. They also found cocaine and pills inside the house.
Police are still working to determine who to file the drug charges on.
"We have had this house under surveillance. And it was today that we had sufficient probably cause to obtain a search warrant and execute it early this morning," explained Lt. Oscar Trevino of the Edinburg Police Department.
Police weren't the only ones keeping an eye on the home. CHANNEL 5 NEWS spoke to a neighbor who said she's frustrated police had to return a second time.
Lt. Trevino said investigators are putting the case together to consider filing a nuisance abatement. A state law allows police to work with the attorney general's office to shut down a problem property for up to a year.
