Mother, Son Die in Edinburg Accident

EDINBURG - Police identified the two victims of a fatal accident Friday afternoon in north Edinburg.
Viola Salas Martinez, 54, and her son Johnathan Lee Martinez, 17, both of Edinburg, were pronounced dead at the scene, police said. The woman's 3-year-old granddaughter was taken to a hospital.
The accident happened on highways 281 and 490 at approximately 5 p.m. Police said a large truck traveling north on Highway 281 rolled over crushing the victims' small, four-door sedan.
Police said the driver of the truck was not injured. The cause of the accident is under investigation.
