Multi-Agency Chase in Cameron Co. Ends in Crash

UPDATE (6:30 p.m.): The man who allegedly lead authorities on a chase is behind bars. 

He was wanted in two Rio Grande Valley counties.

HARLINGEN – The Department of Public Safety pursued in a chase in Cameron County.

The chase ensued near La Feria and ended in a crash on Rangerville and Frontage roads in Harlingen.

DPS Lt. Johnny Hernandez tells CHANNEL 5 NEWS the driver was wanted for a probation violation in Cameron County and an aggravated assault in Hidalgo County.

Hernandez says the female passenger in the vehicle was a runaway.
