BROWNSVILLE - This week marks five years since a man convicted of murder walked out of a Cameron County courtroom and disappeared.
Amit Livingston remains on Cameron County's Most Wanted List. He was sentenced to 23 years in prison for the murder of Hermenia Hernandez in 2005.
Judge Abel Limas gave Livingston 60 days to get his affairs in order before he was expected to report to prison. None of the prosecutors objected when the judge let him walk out.
Livingston never appeared to start his prison sentence. Last year, Limas pleaded guilty to taking bribes. The Livingston case was not listed in the indictment.
