GEAR UP kids across the Valley have spoken; they love their new iPads provided to the Region One GEAR UP program by none other than Apple.

GEAR UP student Paulina Martinez says thanks to these iPads, she's now more alert in class.

She's excited about learning and gearing up for college.
"They gave me advice for me and my parents for financial aid and like some tips on how to pick your school."

Gabriela Haylock also attends Stillman Middle School. She prefers her iPad over a book any day.
"it's really cool. It's better than a book because it's more technology from and it's not like old like it was back then."

Paulina feels the same way. "I like the screen. It's fun. You can turn it or like make it bigger, like your size, not like the books because you need to be turning pages."

We should say most GEAR UP middle school students across the Valley are gearing up for college with iPads.
