FRISCO, Texas (AP) Columbus scoring leader Dominic Oduro had a goal and an assist to lead the Crew to a 4-2 victory over FC Dallas on Sunday night.
The Crew (12-14-5) moved into a tie with New England for sixth place, a point away from the Eastern Conference's final playoff berth with three matches remaining. FC Dallas (10-10-10) remained eighth in the Western Conference, five points out of fifth.
Oduro set up Jairo Arrieta for his third goal this season and a 2-0 lead in the 17th minute. Oduro scored his 12th goal in the 44th minute to give Columbus a 3-1 lead.
Columbus' Federico Higuain opened the scoring with his 11th goal in the ninth minute and Bernardo Anor added his fourth goal in the 86th.
FC Dallas got goals from Blas Perez in the 21st minute and Mauro Diaz in the 54th.
