HIDALGO COUNTY - Police have seized a truck officials believe was being used to transport illegal immigrants near the Hidalgo-Willacy county line.

The truck barreled through three fences before coming to stop just off Highway 186, officials said. Border Patrol officials said the truck driver refused to stop for an Hidalgo County Sheriff's deputy and a chase ensued.

Officers found water jugs on the bed of the truck. They also detained a man who showed foreign currency to officers as he was being escorted to a patrol vehicle.

Officials said they continue searching for suspects.
