HARLINGEN - An officer's quick reaction during a shooting may have saved two other lawmen's lives, official said.
Officials said Price Robinson Perrin, 87, shot his wife in front of the officers. He then turned his weapon on the officers and opened fire.
Two officers took cover while a third lawman returned fire.
"It was really clear in this video that our officers followed the department training," Harlingen Police Sgt. David Osborne said.
"They followed the standards that we set for them ... and they revert back to those in the time of crisis and it was what ultimately saved all their lives," Osborne said.
Perrin's wife survived the shooting.
