Officials Say Cameron County Parks Employee Was Pocketing Money

SOUTH PADRE ISLAND - A Cameron County parks employee is fired after an internal investigation showed the worker was pocketing county money.
The parks director reports it was happening at Isla Blanca Park on South Padre Island back in December. Authorities say the employee was charging visitors and taking the money.
Surveillance video caught the crime. The video will be turned over to a Cameron County constable who is launching a criminal investigation.
