Operation Lone Star To Offer Free Health Care Services

WESLACO - Local and state agencies will join forces to bring free health care services this summer to the South Texas region.

The program, called Operation Lone Star 2012, is a joint venture by the state's health and human services agencies, Texas military forces, Cameron County Department of Health and Human Services, Hidalgo County Health and Human Services and the city of Laredo Health Department.

Some of the services provided are:

  • Immunizations for children
  • Diabetic screening
  • Blood pressure screening
  • Hearing and vision exams
  • Sports physicals
  • Dental services

Dates and times

  • July 23 - 8 a.m. - 4 p.m.
  • July 26 - 8 a.m. - 4 p.m.
  • July 27 - 8 a.m. - 2 p.m.
