Park Girl Faces 15 New Charges

BROWNSVILLE - The businesswoman known as The Park Girl is facing 15 additional charges. Jo Leigh Ares is already accused of felony theft.
The new charges include 14 counts of deceptive trade practice and one count of theft. Ares and her lawyer appeared in court early this morning. Cameras weren't allowed into the courtroom.
Her lawyer told us today's court appearance starts a long legal process. He said the Cameron County District Attorney's Office will review the felony theft charges and the 15 misdemeanors.
