HOUSTON (AP) New Orleans guard Eric Gordon will miss Saturday's game against the Houston Rockets with a right hip contusion.

Gordon missed the Pelicans' 105-89 win over the Denver Nuggets Friday night because of the injury as well.

Gordon, who is averaging 15.4 points per game this season, was injured in New Orleans' 113-100 win against Sacramento Monday night when he was knocked to the ground by Kings' guard Isaiah Thomas while going for a layup.

Anthony Morrow started in place of Gordon Friday night and scored eight points.

Along with Gordon, reserve center Jason Smith will miss his fourth straight game Saturday because of a right knee bone bruise. Smith, who has averaged just over 10 points and six rebounds a game this season, hasn't played since a 108-95 loss at the Los Angeles Clippers December 18.
