HOUSTON - The Edinburg man accused of vandalizing a Pablo Picasso painting was given a $500,000 bond.
Uriel Landeros went before a judge this morning in Houston. The judge agreed with prosecutors that Landeros is a flight risk.
The 22-year-old had been on the run until last week. That's when he surrendered at the Hidalgo International Bridge.
Landeros was caught on cell phone video in June spray-painting the "Woman in a Red Armchair" painting at a Houston muesum.
The museum says the painting's restoration has been successful and is nearly complete.
