MISSION - Police are searching for the driver a drug-packed vehicle involved in an accident Thursday.

Police received the report of a traffic accident at Stewart Road and Expressway 83. When officers arrived, the vehicles were gone. They later found a Chevrolet Suburban riddled with bullets and loaded with drugs. The driver fled the area.

Investigators believe people in a Cadillac tried to carjack the driver transporting the drugs.

Two people were detained near the scene of the accident but were later released.
