Police Identify Harlingen Woman Killed in Morning Accident

HARLINGEN - A woman died, after an auto-pedestrian accident in Harlingen this morning.
Police told us the accident happened on Breedlove and Loop 499 around 6:45 a.m. The victim was taken to the hospital, where she later died. She's been identified as 31-year-old Elidia Briseno.
Officers were on the scene this morning taking measurements. Police said the initial investigation indicates Briseno entered the intersection in a crosswalk, when a motorist hit her. No charges have been filed in the case, which is still under investigation.
