PHARR - A white powder was lobbed Tuesday into the lobby of Premier High School in Pharr. This is the second attack of this type against the school this month, officials said.

Police and firefighters were sent to the school after someone threw the powder into one of the offices.

The classrooms were evacuated as a precaution, officials said. The incident happened at approximately 2 p.m.

A parent said she noticed changes in security after the first attack two weeks ago.

"They have somebody out there watching. I have come at 10 a.m. and they're always out here watching and making sure everybody is safe," the parent said.

The first attack happened on Jan. 14, when someone opened the main door and threw baking soda into the office. This time, officials think the person responsible already was inside the campus.

Pharr police is investigating the case.
