PALMVIEW - A helicopter crew has joined Palmview police in the search for a bank robber.

Palmview Police Chief Chris Barrera said a man walked into the La Joya Federal Area Credit Union, located off Bentsen Palm Drive, and handed a teller a note demanding money. It happened this morning.

The robber fled with an undetermined amount of cash. No one in the bank was hurt. The suspect is described as heavy set with a mustache. He wore a black shirt with dark jeans.
