Police Searching for Driver in Deadly Hit-and-Run

McALLEN - Police are asking for help in finding the driver responsible for a deadly hit-and-run.
Officers said the crash happened over the weekend on the 2400 block of west Expressway 83. McAllen Police Chief Victor Rodriguez said they are looking for two pick-up trucks and a convertible car.
Rodriguez said the victim, 20-year-old Julio Cesar Lacayo, and his girlfriend were on the road after their vehicle stalled. He said the driver of one of two pick-up trucks racing lost control and slammed into Lacayo who died on impact. None of the vehicles stopped to render aid. No one else was injured.
Police are asking anyone with information about the incident to call McAllen Crime Stoppers at 956-687-8477.
