HOUSTON (AP) LaReahn Washington and Jeanette Jackson combined for 42 points, helping Prairie View upset Texas Southern 63-58 Saturday for the SWAC title and an NCAA tournament berth.

Jackson had 22 points, including four free throws in the final 30 seconds, to clinch the team's fourth straight conference title and sixth NCAA appearance in school history.

Washington added 20 points in the winning effort, which capped a season-long turnaround after the Lady Panthers lost their first 11 games under first-year coach Dawn Brown.

TSU was led by conference player of the year Jazzmin Parker, who scored 20 points. Alexus Johnson added 16. The title game appearance was TSU's first in school history.
