Rattlers Win Regional Golf Playoff

McALLEN - Sharyland needed a playoff, but prevailed in the extra swings over San Antonio Johnson to claim the boys' 5A regional golf championship in McAllen on Tuesday. The Rattlers trailed by six shots coming into the day's final round. Sharyland's Juan Rodriguez finished third in the medal standings and qualified as an individual for state along with the Sharyland team. Alexander's Luke Begwin was the medalist of the tournament.
