SAN ANTONIO (AP) Cisco running back Mason Reed scored on a 3-yard run with 11 minutes left to play as the North beat the South, 13-7, in the Texas High School Coaches Association All-Star football game.

Reed, who has signed to play for Texas Tech in the fall, broke a 7-7 tie with his run Tuesday in San Antonio.

Jake Parker's 17-yard touchdown catch just before halftime opened the North scoring. The 6-foot-1 star Whitehouse receiver, who will attend Tyler Junior College in the fall, caught three passes for 78 yards overall. The performance earned him Offensive Most Valuable Player honors.

Parker's TD catch came after a South drive stalled because of a quarterback sack by Northwest linebacker Duke Kicinski. The West Texas A&M signee was named Defensive MVP.
