San Antonio inmate kills self with sharpened spoon

SAN ANTONIO (AP) Investigators say an inmate at a South Texas jail has died after apparently using a sharpened plastic spoon to stab himself.
The Bexar (bayr) County Sheriff's Office says 29-year-old Robert Rodriguez died Wednesday after being found unconscious and bleeding.
Authorities say Rodriguez died after being transported to a San Antonio hospital.
Records show Rodriguez was arrested June 9 on misdemeanor charges of criminal trespass and possession of a controlled substance. He was not on a suicide watch.
