SAN ANTONIO (AP) San Antonio police believe a woman's ex-boyfriend is responsible for her 2011 death.
The San Antonio Express-News reports (http://bit.ly/1dzN6P7) police have named 40-year-old Rafael Hernandez as a suspect in the death of 38-year-old Maria Teresa Leon.
Leon's family had reported her missing in August 2011. Police found her body in the trunk of her Ford Thunderbird four days later. They say she was stabbed to death.
Leon left a bar with Hernandez, and told a friend it was better to go with him to "avoid problems." Hours after her body was found, police issued a news release asking for help finding Hernandez, but didn't label him a suspect.
Police officially named him a suspect on Friday. Crime Stoppers is offering a reward of $5,000 for information leading to his arrest.
