San Benito Hotel Owner Ordered to Appear in Court

SAN BENITO - The owner of a San Benito hotel has been ordered to appear in court Monday.
Omar Cuevas, owner of the Stonewall Jackson Hotel, was cited for multiple safety and code violations. The hotel had no working extinguishers, unsafe beams and electrical problems.
Officials evicted the tenants earlier this week.
Cuevas faces fines of up to $2,500 a day if the improvements are not made.
