SAN JUAN - The victim of a Christmas Eve shooting faces a tough recovery, officials said.
Police said Arnulfo Silgueiro shot the victim twice during an argument Monday. The victim may not be able to walk again, they said.
The shooting happened at the intersection of Retama and Sgt. Trevino roads. Police said the gunman and the victim are brothers-in-law and were arguing over another family member.
Police continue searching for Silgueiro. Investigators believe he is still in the Rio Grande Valley.
"We have information that this is a violent individual. He is armed and dangerous. He is more than likely wanted in several murders in Mexico," San Juan Police Chief Juan Gonzalez said.
Anyone with information on Silgueiro's whereabouts should call San Juan Crime Stoppers at 956-283-8477.
