Shooting Suspect Also Wanted in Mexico

SAN JUAN - The San Juan police chief said the suspect in a Christmas Eve shooting is also wanted in connection with crimes in Mexico.

Investigators suspect Arnulfo Silguero is hiding out somewhere in the Rio Grande Valley. He's accused of shooting his brother-in-law in the chest after an argument Monday night.

The shooting happened at the intersection of Retama and Sgt. Treviño streets. The victim was rushed to the hospital. According to the San Juan police chief, the man survived but may never walk again.
