PROGRESO - Police arrested Arnulfo Silguero in the shooting of his brother-in-law on Christmas Eve in San Juan.
Police and U.S. Marshals Service deputies tracked Silguero to a home in Progreso where he was hiding, officials said.
San Juan Police Chief Juan Gonzalez said his detectives and Marshals tracked Silguero's family for more than a week. They eventually led them to the house in Progreso.
Police arrested four of Silguero's relatives on charges of harboring a known fugitive. The relatives face felony charges, officials said.
Gonzalez said Silguero also is wanted in Mexico for multiple crimes.
Police said the victim in the shooting will likely be left paralyzed.
