GRAPEVINE, Texas (AP) Tony Dungy won Super Bowl titles as an NFL player and coach. Still, some of his fondest memories are his college days at Minnesota.

At the NCAA convention, where Dungy was Friday to receive the organization's highest honor, he said nothing in life has been as much as fun as his junior and senior years in college. He says it was a special time.

Dungy is this year's recipient of the Roosevelt Award, which is presented each year to a person who used their college athletic experience to produce a distinguished career.

When college players seek Dungy's advice on whether to leave early for the NFL, he talks to them about the business side and the money. But he also tells them that they'll never regret staying in school.
