Sparks sweep Silver Stars 101-94

SAN ANTONIO (AP) Candace Parker scored 32 points and the Los Angeles Sparks closed out their Western Conference semifinals against the San Antonio Silver Stars with a 101-94 victory Saturday.

Kristi Tolliver added 23 points, Alana Beard 17 and DeLisha Milton-Jones 10 for the Sparks (25-10).

Sophia Young had 23 points for San Antonio (21-14), who were swept in the playoff series after taking three of four from Los Angeles during the regular season. Jia Perkins added 16 points, Becky Hammon 15, Danielle Adams 12 and Shameka Christon 11.

Los Angeles advances to face the winner of the Minnesota-Seattle series. The defending WNBA champion Lynx have a 1-0 lead entering tomorrow's game at home.

The Sparks advanced after surviving a furious rally in the fourth by the Silver Stars.

Milton-Jones' three-point play completed a 15-2 run by the Sparks for a 73-51 lead with 4 minutes left in the third quarter.
