ST. LOUIS (AP) James Stewart raced to his fifth AMA Supercross victory of the season and 50th overall, pulling away in front of a record 60,213 fans Saturday night at the Edward Jones Dome.

Stewart, the Yoshimura Suzuki rider from Haines City, Fla., is second on the career 4500SX Class victory list, 22 behind Jeremy McGrath.

Stewart took the lead on the 10th of 20 laps, passing three-time defending series champion Ryan Villopoto in the corner before the finish line.

Villopoto finished second. He leads the season standings, 35 points ahead of Ryan Dungey and 36 in front of third-place Stewart.

Kawasaki's Martin Davalos won the Eastern Regional 250SX Class race to extend his season points lead to eight. He has two victories this season.
