Still No Leads in Mercedes Hit-and-Run Accident

MERCEDES - There are no new leads in a deadly hit-and-run accident near the Cameron-Hidalgo County line.
The accident happened a couple of weeks ago on Business 83. A cyclist was hit not once but twice. The driver of the first vehicle stopped to render aid. The second truck left the scene.
Witnesses reported the second truck was a green extended-cab truck with a Transformers sticker on the back. Troopers had taken one car in from a Mercedes family as evidence. Forensic testing came back negative.
So far, there are no suspects. The case is still under investigation.
