Suspect Eludes Deputies in Hidalgo County

EDINBURG - Hidalgo County deputy constables are looking for the driver of a van who led them on a high-speed chase Tuesday in Palmview.
Two deputy constables chasing the van crashed into a parked semi-tractor trailer after going through a dust cloud. The incident happened on La Homa Road. The deputies were treated and released from a hospital.
Texas Department of Public Safety troopers and Border Patrol agents rushed to the scene where they arrested nine illegal immigrants and seized 100 pounds of marijuana.
Hidalgo County Precinct 4 Constable Eddie Guerra said they have strong leads in the case.
