Suspect in Baseball Bat Beating Turned Himself In

SAN JUAN - The man accused of beating a woman with baseball bat is now in custody. Waldo Sanchez turned himself in to San Juan police this morning.
Officers said pressure from media reports pushed Sanchez to surrender to officers. The assault happened at his San Juan home last week.
According to police, Sanchez called police to report it, but he left before police got to his house. Sanchez is expected to face a judge this afternoon.
