HARLINGEN - A San Benito woman in police custody for a beer run is accused of hiding a cell phone in her bra. Officers say there was a small bag of marijuana inside the cell phone.

Yvette Gaytan was fined $564 for theft. The discovery of the cell phone led to a new charge and a $10,000 bond.

Gaytan and Jacinto Alvarez DeLeon were arrested Wednesday, after police found the van they were in inside a canal. The van matched the description of a vehicle used in the theft of a Stripes on Morgan Boulevard.

Gaytan and DeLeon were spotted a few blocks away from the canal. Officers arrested and booked the two. They later discovered the phone Gaytan had hid.

Officers also learned DeLeon had several outstanding warrants, including one for criminal trespass. His bond totals almost $4,000.
