SAN BENITO - Officers said a San Benito teen crafted an explosive device out of fireworks.

Mark Olivarez is now facing a charge of manufacturing an explosive weapon. Police arrested the 19-year-old, after spotting him walk away from a fire near Blanquita's Restaurant on Williams Road Wednesday night.

An officer checked on the fire and found pieces of a black tube with metal wires. Olivarez allegedly told police he learned how to make the device from YouTube.
