CENTRAL
BASTROP: Water stained; 87-91 degrees. Black bass are fair on watermelon spinnerbaits and shallow running crankbaits. Crappie are good on minnows and blue tube jigs. Channel and blue catfish are good on nightcrawlers and stinkbait. Yellow catfish are slow.
BELTON: Water clear; 84-88 degrees; 1.20' low. Black bass are good on soft plastic worms early. Hybrid striper are slow. White bass are slow. Crappie are slow. Channel and blue catfish are fair on shrimp. Yellow catfish are slow.
BROWNWOOD: Water clear; 85-89 degrees; 11.94' low. Black bass are good on watermelon red crankbaits and spinnerbaits over brush piles in 15-20 feet. Hybrid striper are slow. White bass are good on pet spoons and small crankbaits at night. Crappie are fair on minnows in 15-20 feet. Channel catfish are good on trotlines baited with cut bait and chicken livers in 15-25 feet. Yellow catfish are fair on trotlines baited with live bait and chicken livers.
BUCHANAN: Water murky; 84-88 degrees; 24.01' low. Black bass are good on watermelon flukes, Chug Bugs and 5" Whacky Sticks in Silver Creek in 5-15 feet early. Striped bass are fair on Rat-L-Traps and chartreuse striper jigs near Lighthouse Point. White bass are good on minnows and Tiny Traps around structure. Crappie are good on chartreuse tube jigs and live minnows. Channel catfish are good on liver, nightcrawlers, and bloodbait. Yellow and blue catfish are very good on perch upriver.
CANYON LAKE: Water stained; 83-87 degrees; 5.34' low. Black bass are fair on watermelon flukes and topwaters, and watermelon/blue flake soft plastic worms over brush piles. Striped bass are fair on spinnerbaits and shallow running crankbaits around humps early. White bass are slow. Smallmouth bass are good on watermelon jigs and white grubs. Crappie are good on minnows and white tube jigs. Channel catfish are fair on stinkbait and live bait. Yellow and blue catfish are good on perch upriver.
COLEMAN: Water lightly stained; 83-87 degrees; 16.81' low. Black bass are fair on dark Rat-L-Traps and crankbaits. Hybrid striper are good on shad. Crappie are good on minnows. Channel catfish are good on trotlines baited with live perch. Yellow catfish are slow.
COLORADO RIVER: (At Colorado Bend State Park) No report available.
FAYETTE: Water stained. Black bass are good on watermelon crankbaits and Rat-L-Traps early and late. Channel and blue catfish are fair on shrimp and stinkbait.
GRANBURY: Water murky; 88-92 degrees; 2.17' low. Black bass are good on chartreuse Carolina rigged soft plastics and Rat-L-Traps. Striped bass are good on minnows and silver striper jigs. White bass are fair on pet spoons and Charlie slabs. Crappie are good on minnows and pink tube jigs. Catfish are slow.
GRANGER: Water clear; 88-92 degrees; 0.40' low. Black bass are slow. White bass are fair on slab spoons over humps near the dam. Crappie are good on Stanley Wedge Tail Minnow jigs around standing timber at the mouth of the river and Willis Creek. Blue catfish are fair on prepared baits on rod and reel and on juglines baited with shad. Yellow catfish are slow.
LBJ: Water clear; 87-91 degrees; 0.36' low. Black bass are good on chartreuse jigs and shallow running crankbaits early, and on watermelon tubes and Texas rigged soft plastics along shorelines. White bass are fair on minnows and Li'l Fishies around structure. Striped bass are fair on chartreuse striper jigs and Spoiler Shads early and late. Crappie are fair on minnows over brush piles. Channel catfish are very good on nightcrawlers, stinkbait, and live bait. Yellow and blue catfish are fair on trotlines baited with goldfish and perch.
NAVARRO MILLS: Water stained; 88-92 degrees; 0.37' low. Black bass are fair on watermelon spinnerbaits and crankbaits. White bass are slow. Crappie are fair on minnows and blue tube jigs early. Channel catfish are fair on nightcrawlers and stinkbait. Blue catfish are slow. Yellow catfish are slow.
PROCTOR: Water stained; 89-93 degrees; 2.17' low. Black bass are fair on chartreuse spinnerbaits, crankbaits, and Rat-L-Traps. Striped bass are fair on shad and chartreuse striper jigs. White bass are very on minnows and Li'l Fishies. Crappie are good on minnows. Channel and blue catfish are fair on trotlines and juglines baited with perch and goldfish. Yellow catfish are slow.
SOMERVILLE: Water murky; 86-90 degrees; 0.44' low. Black bass are fair on watermelon spinnerbaits and Rat-L-Traps. Hybrid striper are slow. White bass are slow. Crappie are fair on minnows. Channel and blue catfish are good on stinkbait and shad. Yellow catfish are slow.
STILLHOUSE: Water murky; 85-89 degrees; 1.90' low. Black bass are fair on watermelon crankbaits and Rat-L-Traps. White bass are fair on minnows and Li'l Fishies. Crappie are slow. Channel and blue catfish are fair on shrimp and stinkbait. Yellow catfish are slow.
TRAVIS: Water stained; 87-91 degrees; 41.16' low. Black bass are good on small spinnerbaits and shallow running crankbaits. Striped bass are slow. White bass are good on minnows and Li'l Fishies. Crappie are fair on minnows and blue tube jigs. Channel and blue catfish are fair on frozen shrimp and nightcrawlers. Yellow catfish are slow.
WALTER E. LONG: Water lightly stained. Black bass are good on chartreuse spinnerbaits and crankbaits. Hybrid striper are slow. White bass are slow. Crappie are good on minnows and blue tube jigs. Channel and blue catfish are slow. Yellow catfish are slow.
WHITNEY: Water stained; 84-88 degrees; 2.14' low. Black bass are fair on watermelon crankbaits and Rat-L-Traps. Striped bass are slow. White bass are fair on minnows, pet spoons, and Charlie slabs. Crappie are good on minnows and white tube jigs. Catfish are fair on shrimp, stinkbait, and chicken livers.
NORTHEAST
ATHENS: Water clear, 85-91 degrees; 2.40' low. Black bass are fair on Texas rigged Zoom Speed Craws in green pumpkin or black neon around docks (bite is fairly consistent throughout the day). Shad color topwaters early morning are also producing some fish. Crappie are good on minnows. Catfish are fair on prepared bait.
BOB SANDLIN: Water lightly stained; 86-91 degrees; 3.59' low. Black bass are good on medium crankbaits. Deep water brush piles are best later in the day using football jigs or Carolina rigs. Crappie are good on live minnows and jigs over brush piles and mid- to deep-water stickups. White bass are slow on slabs. Catfish are fair to good on trotlines or juglines with Redneck's Catfish Bait Soap and nightcrawlers.
BRIDGEPORT: Water clear; 85-91 degrees; 7.79' low. Black bass are fair on shakyheads around docks. Crankbait bite is improving. Crappie are fair on minnows near bridges. White bass are good on slabs. Hybrid striper are fair on slabs (best action midday). Channel catfish are fair on cut and prepared bait as well as nightcrawlers.
CADDO: Water stained; 86-92 degrees; 0.21' high. Black bass are fair on topwaters early, later switching to Texas rig soft plastics in green pumpkin. White bass and yellow bass are good on slabs. Catfish are fair on nightcrawlers and prepared bait. New TPWD regulations concerning invasive species that affect all Caddo boaters and anglers went in effect May 17. CEDAR CREEK: Water lightly stained; 86-92 degrees; 1.54' low. Black bass are fair on blue fleck soft plastics, shakyheads and shallow crankbaits around docks. White bass are fair on slabs. Hybrid striper are fair on live shad. Crappie are fair on minnows. Catfish are fair drifting cut shad.
COOPER: Water lightly stained; 86-91 degrees; 2.19' low. Black bass are fair on topwaters early. Texas rigged soft plastics are producing later in the day but afternoon bite is still slow. Crappie are good on minnows. White bass are good on slabs. Hybrid striper are fair to good on Sassy Shad and live shad over main lake humps. Catfish are good on prepared bait and cut bait.
FAIRFIELD: Fishing has been slow since the fish kill in September of 2010. TPWD has discontinued stocking the lake after another kill in early September 2011. Redfish and black bass survived the kill in limited numbers.
FORK: Water clear; 86-92 degrees; 2.64' low. Black bass are fair on topwaters along main lake points in early morning. Flutter spoon, Carolina rig and football jigs are producing as well in deeper water. Yellow bass are fair on smaller spoons along creek channel bends in deeper water. Crappie are good on minnows and jigs over brush piles and around bridge columns. Catfish are good on prepared bait.
GRAPEVINE: Water clear; 86-90 degrees; 3.06' low. Black bass are fair on Texas rigged green pumpkin finesse worms and shakyheads around main lake points in 6-10' fish being caught from deeper brush piles as well. Topwaters along main lake points are good early (best bite is in 4-8 feet). Crappie are fair on minnows. White bass are fair on slabs. Catfish are fair to good on nightcrawlers and cut shad.
JOE POOL: Water clear; 86-91 degrees; 1.08' low. Black bass are fair on green pumpkin Texas rigged soft plastics and medium running crankbaits in 8-10 feet along points. Early bite is picking up. Crappie are fair on minnows and jigs. White bass are fair on slabs. Catfish are fair to good on prepared baits.
LAKE O' THE PINES: Water lightly stained; 86-92 degrees; 4.00' low. Black bass are fair on green pumpkin Carolina rigged soft plastics and medium running crankbaits along main lake points. Crappie are fair to good on minnows and jigs. Catfish are slow on cut shad. LEWISVILLE: Water clear; 86-91 degrees; 2.37' low. Black bass are slow to fair on finesse presentations in 10-15 feet along main lake points key on larger rock along main lake points for best results. Larger isolated rock is best. Crappie are good on minnows and jigs. White bass are fair on slabs. Hybrid striper are good on slabs and Sassy Shad. Catfish are good on prepared bait.
MARTIN CREEK: Water fairly clear; 86-92 degrees; 4.53' low. Black bass are fair on green pumpkin Carolina rigged worms and football jigs in deeper water. No report on crappie or white bass. Catfish are good on prepared bait and minnows.
MONTICELLO: Water fairly clear; 88-94 degrees; 0.10' low. Black bass are fair on Texas rigged soft plastics around stumps. Also larger jigs fished in deeper water and topwaters fished early are also productive at times. Crappie are fair on minnows. Catfish are slow on nightcrawlers and live shiners.
PALESTINE: Water clear; 86-91 degrees; 0.64' low. Black bass are good on finesse jigs and Texas rigged soft plastics near shallow cover and docks best bite is later in the day near thicker cover. Crappie are fair on minnows and jigs. Hybrid striper are fair on slabs, Sassy Shad and live shad. White bass are fair on slabs and minnows. Catfish are good on prepared bait.
RAY HUBBARD: Water clear; 86-92 degrees; 1.48' low. Black bass are fair on watermelon soft plastics and football jigs around deeper brush piles. Medium diving crankbaits along rip rap points are catching fish also. Crappie are good on minnows and Road Runners. White bass are good on humps in 17-23 feet with hybrids mixed in. Catfish are good on prepared baits.
RAY ROBERTS: Water clear; 86-91 degrees; 1.17' low. Black bass are good on 12" Gene Larew El Salto Grande Worms in Montezuma's Revenge color fished near deep drop offs in 20 -25'. Crappie are good on minnows and jigs on COE brush piles. White bass are excellent on clear Heddon Torpedoes around schooling fish. Good success on 1-oz. slabs working around humps and points in 28'-32' after the schooling action is over. Catfish are good on Danny King's punch bait over baited holes
RICHLAND CHAMBERS: Water clear; 86-91 degrees; 1.39' low. Black bass are fair on green pumpkin finesse worms fished on shakyheads around docks. Slow presentation is best. Carolina rigged soft plastics and black/blue football jigs around deep brush piles have also been effective. The deep crankbait bite is still slow. White bass are good on slabs and live shad. Hybrid striper are fair on slabs and live shad. Crappie are good on minnows and jigs. Catfish are good on prepared bait and nightcrawlers.
TAWAKONI: Water stained; 87-92 degrees; 1.50' low. Black bass are slow on Texas rigged black/blue soft plastics and black/blue flipping jigs around docks best bite has been farther back in the creeks. Larger profile jigs producing better. Crappie are fair on minnows around bridge pilings and deep timber. White bass are slow on slabs. Striped bass and hybrid striper are good on 4" to 6" white or shad pattern Sassy Shad in the shallows early then suspending deep during the day - drifting live bait is also producing. Catfish are slow on cut bait.
TEXOMA: Water clear; 86-91 degrees; 0.95' low. Black bass are good on medium crankbaits along main lake points. Smaller jigs and Carolina rigs in 8-12 feet are effective. Some fish are being caught early on topwaters. Striped bass are fair on slabs and live shad. Catfish are good on nightcrawlers and cut bait. WRIGHT PATMAN: Water stained; 86-91 degrees; 0.03' low. Black bass are fair on Texas rigged worms, medium running crankbaits and soft swimbaits along main lake points. Crappie are fair on minnows and jigs. Catfish are fair on cut shad and prepared bait. SOUTH
AMISTAD: Water clear; 84-88 degrees; 25.48' low. Black bass are good on jigs and Texas rigged soft plastic worms in 4-14 feet. Striped bass are fair trolling crankbaits along the bluffs up Devil's River. White bass are fair trolling crankbaits along the bluffs up Devil's River. Channel and blue catfish are fair on stinkbait in 6-10 feet. Yellow catfish are fair on trotlines baited with live perch. Everyone in a boat must have a Mexico fishing license (if fishing the Mexico side) whether fishing or not.
BRAUNIG: Water clear. Black bass are fair on chartreuse spinnerbaits and soft plastic worms in reeds. Striped bass are fair on shad and perch off points near the pier. Redfish are good on shad and silver spoons. Channel and blue catfish are fair on liver, cheesebait, and minnows near the dam.
CALAVERAS: Water clear. Black bass are fair on watermelon Rat-L-Traps near the dam. Striped bass are slow. Redfish are good down rigging spoons, and on live bait near the crappie wall. Channel and blue catfish are fair on liver, stinkbait, and nightcrawlers. Yellow catfish are slow.
CHOKE CANYON: Water clear; 85-88 degrees; 13.86' low. Black bass are fair on watermelon soft plastics and Rat-L-Traps early and late. White bass are fair on minnows. Crappie are slow. Channel and blue catfish are good on stinkbait. Yellow catfish are good on live perch and goldfish.
COLETO CREEK: Water fairly clear; 1.09' low. Black bass are fair on watermelon Rat-L-Traps and spinnerbaits. Striped bass are fair on chartreuse striper jigs. White bass are slow. Crappie are fair on minnows. Channel and blue catfish are fair on shrimp and stinkbait. Yellow catfish are slow.
FALCON: Water clear; 88-92 degrees; 37.26' low. Black bass are good on chartreuse soft plastics and spinnerbaits in 10-20 feet. Striped bass are slow. Channel and blue catfish are excellent on shrimp, cut bait, and stinkbait. Yellow catfish are slow. SOUTHEAST
CONROE: Water fairly clear; 84-88 degrees; 2.16' low. Black bass are fair on chartreuse soft plastics and Rat-L-Traps. Striped bass are good on minnows. Crappie are fair on minnows and white tube jigs over brush piles. Catfish are fair on nightcrawlers and liver.
GIBBONS CREEK: Water clear. Black bass are good on chartreuse crankbaits and Rat-L-Traps. Crappie are good on minnows and pink tube jigs. Catfish are fair on stinkbait, shrimp, and liver.
HOUSTON COUNTY: Water clear; 86-90 degrees; 0.16' low. Black bass to 2 pounds are fair on silver spoons and June bug worms. Crappie are slow. Bream are good on live worms off piers and over grass beds. Blue catfish are slow.
LIVINGSTON: Water fairly clear; 85-89 degrees; 0.12' low. Black bass are good on watermelon Rat-L-Traps and crankbaits. Striped bass are good on Charlie slabs, white striper jigs, and troll tubes. White bass are fair on minnows, pet spoons, and Charlie slabs. Crappie are slow. Blue catfish are slow. Yellow catfish are slow.
SAM RAYBURN: Water lightly stained; 84-88 degrees; 1.08' low. Black bass are fair on minnows and watermelon Rat-L-Traps. White bass are good on minnows and Li'l Fishies. Crappie are fair on minnows over baited holes. Bream are good on nightcrawlers. Catfish are good on trotlines baited with live bait, shrimp, and liver.

TOLEDO BEND: Water stained; 82-86 degrees; 2.55' low. Black bass are good on redbug and June bug soft plastic worms and spinnerbaits. Striped bass are fair on white striper jigs. White bass are slow. Crappie are fair on minnows over baited holes. Bream are fair on nightcrawlers. Channel and blue catfish are fair on trotlines baited with liver. Yellow catfish are slow.
PANHANDLE
GREENBELT: Water stained; 84-90 degrees; 37.65' low. Black bass are good on topwaters early and late, midday switching to jigs, Texas rigs and shakyheads. Crappie are fair to good on minnows and jigs over brush piles. The Old Marina Point ramp is still open.
MACKENZIE: Water stained; 83-91 degrees; 88.22' low. Black bass are fair on buzzbaits and Pop-Rs early, midday switching to jigs, Texas rigs and Carolina rigs. No report on striped bass. Catfish are fair on nightcrawlers fished under a float. Ramp No. 1 is still open.
MEREDITH: 96.74' low. No report available.
PALO DURO: 47.93' low. No report available.
WEST
ALAN HENRY: Water lightly stained; 82-90 degrees; 6.98' low. Black bass are good on topwaters early, midday switching to Texas rigs, deep diving crankbaits, jigs and drop shot rigs. Crappie are fair on jigs and live minnows over brush piles and around structure. Catfish are fair on nightcrawlers and prepared bait.
ARROWHEAD: Water off color; 83-88 degrees; 9.01' low. Black bass are fair on topwaters, Texas rigs and Rat-L-Traps. Crappie are fair on live minnows under a float. White bass are good on slabs and Rooster Tails. Catfish are fair to good on prepared bait.

WHITE RIVER: Water stained; 85-90 degrees; 25.65' low. Black bass are fair on topwaters early and late, midday switching to jigs, Texas rigs and spoons. Crappie are fair on live minnows in brush. Catfish are fair to good on nightcrawlers.
COASTAL
NORTH SABINE: Trout are fair to good in the middle of the lake over rafts of shad. Redfish are fair on jigs tipped with shrimp around marsh drains. Some birds have worked over trout.
SOUTH SABINE: Sheepshead and black drum are good at the jetty on live shrimp. Trout are fair to good around Lighthouse Cove and around the jetty rocks on topwaters. Redfish are fair to good in the marsh on topwaters.
BOLIVAR: Trout are fair to good on the south shoreline on soft plastics and plugs. Black drum and redfish are good at Rollover Pass. Croakers are good on dead shrimp in the channel and around the pass.
TRINITY BAY: Trout are good for drifters working pods of shad and mullet on Bass Assassins, Trout Killers and Sand Eels. Redfish and trout are fair to good at the spillway on shrimp.
EAST GALVESTON BAY: Trout are good on the south shoreline on topwaters and soft plastics. Whiting and sand trout are good on the edge of the Intracoastal on fresh shrimp. Trout are good on mid-bay reefs on plastics and croakers.
WEST GALVESTON BAY: Trout are fair to good for drifters working shell on live shrimp. Trout, sheepshead, redfish and black drum are good at the jetty on shrimp. Tarpon are showing on the beachfront. Kingfish, ling and sharks are good offshore.
TEXAS CITY: Trout are good on the channel on croakers. Trout are fair to good on reefs and wells on live bait. Sand trout are fair on fresh shrimp off the piers.
FREEPORT: Sand trout and sheepshead are good on live shrimp on the reefs. Trout and sand trout are good at the jetties on shrimp and DOA Shrimp. Kingfish and ling are good offshore.
EAST MATAGORDA BAY: Trout are fair to good for drifters on live shrimp over humps and scattered shell. Redfish are fair to good around St. Mary's on topwaters and live shrimp.
WEST MATAGORDA BAY: Redfish are fair to good on the edge of Oyster Lake on shrimp and crabs. Trout are fair on sand and grass on soft plastics.
PORT O'CONNOR: Trout and redfish are good on topwaters and live bait over soft mud in waist-deep water in San Antonio Bay. Trout and redfish are fair at the mouths of bayous on the outgoing tide.
ROCKPORT: Trout are fair on free-lined shrimp in the deep channels. Trout are fair over grass while drifting with live shrimp. Redfish are good in Allyn's Bight and Estes Flats on pin perch and mullet.
PORT ARANSAS: Redfish are fair to good at East Flats on shrimp. Redfish and sheepshead are fair to good at the jetty on shrimp. Offshore is good for sharks, ling and kingfish.
CORPUS CHRISTI: Trout are fair to good on the edge of the spoils on Gulps and live shrimp. Trout are good in the edge of the flats and around spoil islands on croakers. Redfish are good in the guts on the outgoing tide.
BAFFIN BAY: Trout are fair in mud and grass on croakers and topwaters. Trout are fair to good in the Land Cut on live shrimp. Trout are fair to good while drifting with topwaters at Rocky Slough.
PORT MANSFIELD: Trout are good on topwaters and soft plastics under corks around sand and grass. Redfish are fair to good while drifting pot holes and sand flats on live shrimp.
SOUTH PADRE: Trout are good around the spoil islands, channel edges and color changes on DOA Shrimp. Tarpon, snook, trout and Spanish mackerel have been showing at the jetty on live bait.
PORT ISABEL: Snook are fair to good in South Bay on shrimp and DOA Shrimp. Trout and redfish are fair to good at Gas Well Flats on live shrimp. Trout are fair to good in potholes on Gulps and live shrimp 3-4 feet of water.
