Texas Rio Grande Legal Aid Files Lawsuit Against Park Girl Owner

LA FERIA - Texas Rio Grande Legal Aid filed a lawsuit against Jo Leigh Ares and her business The Park Girl. The lawsuit represents 43 former Park Girl customers.
The lawsuit alleges Ares took more than $385,000 without providing mobile homes or valid titles for mobile homes. Texas Rio Grande Legal Aid started taking clients after the allegations were reported in October.
"Within about 10 or 15 minutes after it went on the air, we started getting phone calls and pretty much we've been getting phone calls on the tune of 30 or 40 a day. We've interviewed a total of about 65 people," says Raul Noriega with Texas Rio Grande Legal Aid.
Ares is in custody in the Cameron County jail. She turned herself in to police Wednesday.
